                              MEET THE POLITICIANS

The Sourdough Group have arranged  for the three main candidates for the Ballina electorate in The NSW State Election to attend a ‘meet the candidates’ session and they would like to invite you to join them.

Where: Macadamia Castle- Knockrow

When: 5.00 for 5.30 pm to 7.30, Monday 2nd March 2015

Cost: Free.  Soft drinks available for purchase

The candidates are:

Paul Spooner        Labor Party

Kris Beavis        NSW Nationals

Tamara Smith        Greens

They will put a series of questions to them and have them all provide a response. Some of the questions are as follows:

1. What are you going to do to support businesses to create jobs in this region

2. Do you believe that the money for services (health/Education/Welfare) should be increasing amounts from Government or do you see the essential of having a vibrant local economy based on succesful businesses generating money (and therefore Govt income)

3. Do you support the Rail Trail

4. Do you want to create jobs here or have us as a commuter belt where people live here but commute north to the Gold Coast and further?

5. How are you going to get the NSW Public service decision makers in Sydney to connect and engage properly with the region, understand regional issues and remove impediments to progress?

 6. What are your plans for public transport

So that we can develop more relevant questions we would like you to tell us what your concerns are and why, what you see as major impediments to development/business and also any questions that you would like to ask together with the reasons for them.

Would you please advise by 23 February if you are intending to attend this event so that we can have the relevant amount of seating available
